Booked your photos and now wondering what the next steps are? Don’t worry, I’ll explain everything you need to know.
I know how exciting the photo session can be, and a few tips on what to do beforehand can help make your photoshoot as perfect as you’ve always dreamed.
The first thing we’ll do is schedule a meeting. A MEETING, KAROL? YES!
In this meeting, we’ll plan your session and align expectations. I’ll also guide you in choosing outfits and any accessories you might want to include in your session. In other words, we’ll go over all the details to make sure everything is incredible!
With everything planned, here are some tips to help you prepare for the big day:
Preparing Your Looks:
- Start by selecting and organizing your outfits, including undergarments and accessories. Give them that finishing touch by washing, ironing, and making sure everything is flawless.
- Choose a color you love and that makes you feel amazing. Neutral and soft tones are always a great choice.
- Try on your outfits in front of a mirror to ensure you’re happy with your selections. If you need anything extra, there’s still time to find the perfect finishing touch!
The Day Before the Photos:
- Is your photoshoot scheduled for the morning? Make sure to eat well to have plenty of energy for the session! Avoid greasy foods to prevent bloating. Drink plenty of water and herbal teas to keep your skin looking hydrated and glowing.
- Give your nails some love with a simple manicure and pedicure.
- If you’re going to the salon or doing your hair at home, wash it well the day before, using shampoo and just a bit of conditioner to detangle. This will leave your hair looking natural on the big day.
- Organize all your outfits, accessories, and shoes in a bag for easy access—it’ll make outfit changes much smoother.
- Make a checklist of everything you need to bring to the session, especially if there’s a specific item you want included in your photos.
- And don’t forget—nothing beats a good night’s sleep! Rested looks can’t be replaced by any filter.
On the Day of the Photos:
- The big day has arrived! Start with a delicious breakfast and keep your meals light and healthy to maintain your energy throughout the session.
- Before applying makeup, wash your face thoroughly to prep your skin. If you’re working with a professional makeup artist, let them know in advance about any allergies to beauty products.
- Bring your touch-up products, just in case.
- Remember that checklist you made the day before? Double-check everything before you leave.
- Most importantly: Be punctual! The best lighting is often planned for specific times, and delays can affect the final result. Plan your schedule accordingly.
Now, all you have to do is relax and have fun! Feel amazing and trust the process. I’ll be just as excited as you are, ready to capture your best moments and deliver memories you’ll cherish forever!
